Week 1: Set-up & swing

Week 2: Swing technique (irons)

Week 3: Using long irons/hybrids & woods

Week 4: Short game (chipping/pitching/putting)

After the 4 weeks there will be option to advance onto the course (Hollins Hall) for two further sessions. Here the golfer will be able to receive on course tuition and learn rules and etiquette.

Congratulations to Bentley Coxon and William Tate, both regular academy golfers, who have recently completed level 5 of the Golf Foundation Junior Golf Passport.

All Junior golfers receiving coaching with MT Golf Academy, are registered on the passport programme, and awarded with certificates at various stages of their golfing development.

All three academy venues are official ‘HSBC Golf Roots Centres’ and at the forefront of taking golf to a new younger and diverse audience.

There are a few places available in a Junior after school group at Hollins Hall, Baildon. The weekly Tuesday sessions are an hour duration starting at 4.40pm. The cost for a six week course is only £50.00 and includes all range balls used. The group restarts on Tuesday 17th April. Places are on a first come first served basis so book now!

From 1st April 2012, MT Golf can offer lessons at Ghyll Beck Golf Driving Range, Esholt, Baildon.

Lesson Prices at Ghyll Beck:

Individual 30 min: £22.00 + range balls

Individual 60 min: £40.00 + range balls

6 x 30 min lessons: £110.00 (5 + 1 FREE)

Junior and Adult group lessons also available.

Miriam Lord Primary and Lidget Green Primary both held golf days for Key stage 2 children.

Mark worked with individual classes using Tri-golf equipment. The children practiced with the clubs before completing different games. Points were awarded and individual children selected to receive certificates for their golfing skills.

Mark commented: “Many of the children had never experienced golf, but soon discovered that alternative sports can be fun! I was really impressed at how quickly the children picked up the new skills”.
