Competition news

Prize Day results

A big thank you to everyone who supported my prize day on Saturday, the weather wasn’t great but 76 players took part in a 4-person team stableford.

The results were as follows:

1st - S Ramsden, A Armitage, J Ramsden, K Stott 79 points (£45.00 each pro shop voucher).

2nd - R King, M Risdon, Rory Leach, J Pollard 78 points (£22.50 each pro shop voucher).

Also, thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets on the day. I will be drawing this on Saturday so there’s still chance to buy yours. Prizes include a PING putter, TaylorMade M4 3-wood, PING clothing, Bridgestone & TaylorMade balls, Motocaddy umbrellas and a set of Golf Pride grips (to include fitting).

The retail value of these prizes is almost £1000! Tickets cost £5.00 per strip with all monies raised being donated to Sue Ryder Manorlands.

Studio news

New Studio warm-up

Launching on Saturday is our new studio warm-up offer - For just £5.00 you can now book a 20 minute slot before you tee off to hit some balls in the comfort of the studio. We’ll also include a cup of our fresh ground coffee in the price!

Simply give the pro-shop a call to book yourself in, it’s that easy!

Game on this winter

Just as a reminder, we have 8 different courses available to play in the studio as well as a driving range option. Members receive a discount of £5.00 OFF the usual price so an hour costs JUST £25.00. Up to 4 people can play so this works out at £6.25 each!

Bad weather never stops play so why not give it a go this winter?

And the winner is…

The November Studio Winter League game has now finished. The winner with a superb score of 22 points was Pete Ferris, just 2 points ahead of runner up Nick Helm. Pete wins a pro shop voucher to the value of £25.00!

December’s course is now up and running, so good luck everyone! If you missed the November entry deadline then don’t worry as an individual month can be entered at a cost of £10.00pp.

Coaching news

Juniors stay dry

The weather might have been grim last Saturday but the weekly junior coaching session was unaffected. We firstly worked on swing technique on the virtual driving range, followed by a game of ‘golf bowls’ and a ‘Puttout’ challenge.

To end the session the youngsters practiced their chipping skills. Prizes were awarded to Kaleb for the straightest shot of the day and Jack for winning the game of bowls.
