My first month!
One month into my new role as Head Professional at Bracken Ghyll Golf Club and all is going well. Thank you to the members for making us feel so welcome and our existing customers for all your support.
We are really excited about our future at Addingham and look forward to working with the management committee in the months and years ahead.

The Open - Pro Shop Draw
The Open Championship is now only three weeks away, when the world’s finest golfers will battle it out at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. As always this is the most anticipated of the four majors, so we would like to offer you the chance to be involved this year by entering our Pro Shop draw.
The cost to enter is ONLY £5.00 and you simply select a numbered square on the board in the shop, write your name in the box and then following the 36-hole cut, a player is randomly selected and allocated against your name.
All the entry fees are returned as prizes/vouchers to spend in the shop with places paid down to fifth.
Remember you can enter as many times as you like to increase your odds of winning!

Golf in Schools
Earlier this week I ran another ‘Tri-Golf’ festival, this time at Beckfoot School in Bingley. Lots of children had the opportunity to have a go, for many it was their first introduction to the game.
I feel this is a really important part of my work as a PGA Professional, and great exposure for the game and puts Bracken Ghyll firmly on the map as a ‘Junior Friendly’ golf club.

Record turnout for junior coaching!
Wow - what a fantastic turn out for the weekly coaching sessions last Saturday at the club. 18 children attended over two separate sessions, with ages starting as young as 4!
This is a really exciting time for Junior Golf at Bracken Ghyll and I look forward to helping develop the academy going forward.
