This simple to use system allows you to view availability for lessons, club fittings, gapping sessions, ball fittings and studio hire. A booking can then be made with the option to pay online or on arrival to the pro shop.

The Mark Tyler Golf Studio Winter League has now started, but there’s still time to enter!

The chosen course for November is...

Royal Troon Golf Club (front 9 holes).
Men - White Tees.
Ladies/Juniors - Red Tees.

A list of players and their scores will be available to view in the pro shop, and updated regularly.

Here’s how it works:

One-off entry fee - £30 per person.
Format - Nine Hole Individual Stableford (full handicap) played monthly November to February on a pre-selected course (tee used/weather conditions etc. will vary).
Prizes - Monthly winner and the best three scores from four to decide the league prizes 1st and 2nd.
Book your monthly game on a day/time convenient for you, individually or as part of a group (max.4 players).
Sign-up and play your first nine holes before Saturday 30th November.

Open to all so why not invite a friend from a local club or a work colleague, and combine it with a few drinks and meal from the clubhouse?

It's a fair old way

We don’t mean to be gloomy but winter golf can be a little disheartening for several reasons, but none more so than hitting the ball considerably shorter than in summer. A combination of the ball not rolling out as much and it not flying as far through the air results in shorter drives and longer approach shots; so, what’s the best way to deal with it?

First of all, we need to accept that we're going to have to go up a club or two during winter.

We will all find ourselves further back on the fairway than during peak season, which means that you might need to hit a fairway wood off the deck to reach the green.

Fairway woods have been designed to be a lot easier to hit than a decade ago. Take this beauty from PING as an example, which has been engineered to launch the ball with ease.

It can be a tricky shot to play but with the right hardware and technique, we'll have you hitting greens for fun this winter.
