Which golf ball should you play?

This is a question we are asked regularly in the pro shop, but with a huge array of models available, this can be very confusing for the golfer!

Utilising our launch monitor in the studio, we are able to measure key shot information allowing us to recommend a particular ball type for you.

The new Srixon ball fitting unit has just arrived at Bracken Ghyll with every ball model available to trial. We also offer the full Titleist and TaylorMade ranges.

A ball fitting costs £30.00 and includes a sleeve of the balls you have been fitted for within the price.

New studio upgrade a big hit!

We have received some great feedback from those of you using the studio following our investment in new software a few weeks ago.

With the December Studio Winter League game currently open for play, scoring has been noticeably better for everyone (no pressure for those of you still to play), with the new putting feature being a key factor.

If you’ve not seen the new software in action yet, ask for a demo next time you’re up at the club, we’d be delighted to showcase it for you!

How old is your waterproof jacket? A recent survey indicated that 60% of golfers are wearing one that is over two years old and if you’re one of them – or if you’re struggling to remember when you bought yours – it might be time to consider upgrading this winter.

Lots of today’s jackets come with a two or three-year waterproof warranty, which means that if you’re part of the above stat your jacket’s best days might be behind you.
