With the fantastic news that golf courses could re-open from Wednesday 13th May, I know many of you will have already played your first game since the lockdown began back in March! We are now busy planning for the re-opening of the Pro Shop so we can offer our members some level of service when you visit the club, whilst most importantly keeping our staff and members safe. Due to government restrictions on non-essential retail shops not being allowed to open for another few weeks, my intention is to initially open as a contact point/reception for members and to answer telephone enquiries. The details aren't finalised as yet but we're hoping to be able to offer the following services: 1. The order and supply of essential items (balls, tees, gloves etc.) 2. A club repair and re-grip service. 3. Pull and electric trolley hire. 3. Takeaway coffee, cold drinks and confectionery. With regard to coaching and club fitting, again we are waiting on guidance from the government and the main golfing bodies. I know this isn't ideal but I hope it serves as a short term solution before the green light is given allowing us to open up more fully. As soon as everything is in place I will send out an email and post on all the usual social media channels. Thank you for your patience and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the coming weeks - from a safe distance of course! |
